Content Policies
At Creala, we put people first. We recognize, value, and respect the diversity of everyone who makes up our community. Our purpose is to help people sell digital products online. We value the contributions of those who share our vision, and we strive to keep an environment where people feel welcome and safe.
These Content Policies (these "Policies") are meant to describe the actions Creala takes to protect users on our platform. The goal is for people to identify harmful or prohibited types of content, so that we can review it in line with the Policies set out below.
Please read these Policies, as they contain important information about the content we allow to be published on our platform.
These Policies are incorporated into our Terms of Service, which is a binding agreement between you and us. You should also review our other policies and documents available on our website, including our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By accessing or using our platform, you accept these Policies and our other policies and terms. If you do not agree with any of them, please do not access or use our platform.
Prohibited products and services on Creala
As identified together with our payment-processing partners and applicable regulations, certain types of products and services are not allowed on Creala. If you are unsure whether your content is prohibited on Creala, please contact us at support@crea.la with more information about your product or service. We do not accept the following content on our platform:
Because Creala processes payments through Stripe and other partners, the products and services offered must also comply with the rules of those processors and the card networks. If a payment processor prohibits a product, Creala prohibits it, regardless of the rest of this section.
Illegal, defamatory, fraudulent, or intentionally misleading content, including but not limited to coordinated or other inauthentic behavior, disinformation, phishing, or scams;
Content that harms others;
Content that promotes discrimination (see our Code of Conduct) or hate speech;
Content that harasses, demeans, or intimidates;
Content that infringes or violates the rights of third parties or an applicable license;
Content that violates the privacy of third parties;
Content that violates any applicable law or regulation;
Content that attempts to transmit or generate code designed to disrupt, damage, or limit the functioning of any software, hardware, or telecommunications equipment;
Content that is malware, a Trojan horse, or a virus, or other malicious code;
Content that promotes high-risk activities, including but not limited to activities that could lead to death or serious bodily harm.
Below we share the details of the products and services prohibited on our platform.
Illegal products and services
Illegal drugs, substances designed to mimic illegal drugs, and equipment designed for making or using drugs;
Fake reference or identification services;
Telecommunications manipulation equipment, including jamming devices;
Any business or organization that encourages, promotes, or celebrates unlawful violence or physical harm to people or property, or that targets any group based on a protected characteristic;
Any other product or service that violates the law in the jurisdictions where your business operates or to which it is directed.
Products and services that infringe intellectual property rights
Sale or distribution of music, movies, software, or any other licensed material without proper authorization;
Counterfeit products, or products imported or exported illegally;
Unauthorized sale of branded or designer products or services;
Any other product or service that directly infringes the trademark, patent, copyright, trade-secret, proprietary, or privacy rights of a third party.
Fraudulent, abusive, or deceptive products and services
Pyramid schemes;
"Get rich quick" scams, including abusive investment opportunities;
Services that add no value, including the sale or resale of a service without added benefit;
Sale of internet traffic or engagement;
Marketing and telemarketing that require a negative response to avoid charges (negative option), or with unclear or hidden pricing;
Abusive mortgage, loan, credit-repair, or credit-counseling advisory services;
Abusive investment opportunities, with or without upfront payments;
Remote technical support, and sites that post or remove (for a fee) controversial photos or information;
Any other business we consider fraudulent, abusive, or deceptive.
Adult content and services
Pornography and other adult content (such as literature, images, and other media);
Adult services, including prostitution, escorts, pay-per-view, and sexual massages;
Adult video stores;
Dance clubs, cabarets, and strip clubs.
Certain legal services
Law firms that collect funds for purposes other than the payment of legal fees;
Bankruptcy attorneys;
Bail bonds.
Firearms, explosives, and hazardous materials
Guns, gunpowder, ammunition, weapons, fireworks, and other explosives;
Peptides, research chemicals, and other toxic, flammable, or radioactive materials.
Gambling
Games of chance, including betting, internet gambling, sweepstakes, and contests with a monetary or material prize;
Sports forecasting or odds-making with a monetary or material prize;
Lotteries;
Bidding-fee auctions.
Marijuana
Cannabis products;
Cannabis dispensaries and related businesses;
Products containing any amount of CBD and/or THC.
Financial products and services
Investment and brokerage services;
Lending services;
"Buy now, pay later" services;
Crowdfunding;
Debt-collection agencies;
Insurance services, including medical insurance packages;
Money transfers, currency exchange, and other money-service businesses;
Neobanks or challenger banks;
Other financial institutions.
Government services
Government grants;
Embassies, foreign consulates, or other foreign governments.
Telemedicine and pharmaceuticals
Online pharmacies;
Prescription-only products, including regulated pharmaceuticals;
Telemedicine and telehealth services.
Tobacco
Tobacco products, including e-cigarettes and e-liquid.
Other
Credit-card protection and identity-theft protection services;
Other age-restricted goods or services;
Travel reservation services and clubs;
Airlines and cruises;
Timeshare services;
Virtual currencies, cryptocurrencies, and related mining services;
Prepaid phone cards, SIM cards, and phone services;
Sale of stored-value cards or held credits accepted and issued by third parties;
Sale of currencies or items sold within video games, unless you operate the virtual world;
Business models in which sellers earn revenue both from sales and from recruiting new sellers.
Our content review and moderation process
In addition to the prohibited and restricted products and services, any other product or service may be reviewed and, if we determine that it does not comply with these Policies, removed.
After reviewing your product or service, if we determine that it violates these Policies, we will remove it and notify you.
In the case of a second violation, your product or service will be removed and your account may be suspended or terminated.
How to report prohibited content
We promote collective responsibility for keeping a healthy and safe community. If you find content that violates these Policies, please report it to us at support@crea.la.
Please note that reports are community content and are also subject to these Policies.
Intellectual property infringement
If you want to report that content on our website violates or infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us at support@crea.la.
Code of Conduct
We expect everyone who uses Creala to contribute to a safe and respectful community. This Code of Conduct is inspired by the Mozilla Community Participation Guidelines.
Expected behavior. Treat others with respect, be inclusive and professional, and take responsibility for the impact of your actions.
Unacceptable behavior. We do not tolerate violence or threats (including doxxing and the encouragement of self-harm), personal attacks, derogatory language, discrimination or hate speech, unwelcome sexual attention, disruptive behavior, or inducing others to violate these rules.
Scope. These rules apply to published content, to communications within the Service, and to conduct outside the Service that affects the community.
Reporting. You can report a violation by writing to support@crea.la.
Consequences. Violations may result in content removal, suspension, or a permanent ban of the account.
False reports. Reports made in bad faith are treated as a violation of this Code of Conduct.
